This presentation will describe a university-wide initiative (Enlightenment Series) to systemically address racism and anti-Blackness to promote inclusive excellence across three geographically dispersed campuses. Notably, the year-long series facilitates conversations among university administrators, faculty, and students and provides opportunities to reflect on policies and practices that impact underrepresented identities and the Black community. At the end of each session of the series, participants provide feedback on the session's overall effectiveness. Based on feedback garnered from 254 participants, the result suggests that engagement in courageous conversations is needed to support systemic changes supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion within higher education.
