Institute Details
The registration begins at 2:00 pm and the program at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. The workshop will conclude at 4:00 pm on Friday, August 4, 2017. All workshop activities will take place at the Hyatt House, Downtown Portland.
Opening Activities
If you cannot arrive on Wednesday in time for the 2:30 pm opening session, please plan to travel on Tuesday.
Travel
Participants are responsible for their travel to and from the institute.
Travel by Air
Portland International Airport is the main airport in Portland. We recommend arriving no later than 1:00 p.m. on August 2 and departing after 6:00 p.m. on August 4 because travel to and from the airport takes at least 30 minutes.
Ground Transportation
The Hyatt House, Downtown Portland does not provide shuttle service from the airport. Options are Taxi, Uber. Taxi/Uber cost is approximately $45-50.
Another option is the Tri-met Max and Portland Street Car from the Airport to the hotel (cost is $5 pp).
Directions to Hyatt House, Downtown Portland via Public Transit:
From airport, catch RED Max Line toward 'City Center & Beaverton'. (Guest will be on RED Max Line for about 25-30 minutes, 9 stops)
- Get off at 7th Ave Max stop where they will see VElOMOR APARTMENTS.
- Cross the street to the Streetcar A Loop 'NE 7th & Holladay' stop
- Get on Portland Streetcar A LOOP going southbound.
- Guest will be on streetcar for 10-15 minutes, 11 stops.
- Streetcar will drop guest right in front of Hyatt House at the River Pkwy and Moody stop.
Accommodations
The hotel for the institute is the Hyatt House, Downtown Portland.
Meals
Breakfast and lunch will be covered by the Institute. Dinners on your own.
