The Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL): An Overview

The Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) is a National Science Foundation-funded network of 42 universities dedicated to improving undergraduate STEM education by preparing future faculty members who understand and use evidence-based instructional practices. CIRTL accomplishes its mission through local and cross-network teaching professional development programs for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars and a robust community of practice for professionals who plan, implement, and evaluation such programming on their campuses. The purpose of this poster is to (1) provide an overview of the Network's history, theory of change, and organizational structure; (2) highlight prior and current efforts to investigate Network functioning, Network impact, and local CIRTL programming development.
