Mitchell's SERC profile

I became a part of the SERC web team in the fall of 2017. I am involved in developing and maintaining web content, supporting webinars and workshops, and participating in education research and evaluation projects.

My research background is in structural geology and metamorphic petrology. My work focused on ocean-continent convergent margins, where metamorphosed and deformed oceanic crust can be used to track the evolution of these plate margins. Before joining SERC I was an adjunct instructor at the University of St. Thomas where I taught courses on Structural Geology and Field Methods.
