

Tracie Salinas
Appalachian State University
Tracie McLemore Salinas is currently the Director of the Mathematics and Science Education Center and Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Appalachian State University. Her scholarly work typically addresses STEM education, especially how it interacts with cultural contexts, teacher preparation, and issues of equity. Salinas is a co-facilitator for Appalachian's participation in the Aspire Alliance, an initiative in the National Science Foundation INCLUDES Hub. She is also an advisor to the Cameroonian TEA Fellows Alumni organization and chair of the Committee on Research and Dissemination of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
