It is important to keep the momentum going at your institution after hosting one of the Traveling Workshops. There are a variety of resources to help you keep your faculty and community engaged in what was begun at the workshop:

On the Cutting Edge

NAGT's Workshop Series, On the Cutting Edge, runs a number of professional development opportunities for geoscience faculty every academic year. Many of these are face-to-face workshops for individual faculty, but there are also a number of virtual workshops and webinars that allow whole departments or other groups to take part together. All of these opportunities allow interaction with peers from other institutions around the common theme of the workshop.

InTeGrate

The InTeGrate program supports the teaching of geoscience in the context of societal issues both within geoscience courses and across the undergraduate curriculum. The program's goal is to develop a citizenry and workforce that can address environmental and resource issues facing our society. The website provides are a variety of teaching resources and materials at the course and program levels to support teaching and learning for a sustainable future.

Building Strong Geoscience Departments

The Building Strong Geoscience Departments program focused on helping geoscience departments adapt and prosper in a changing and challenging environment. Bringing together faculty and leaders from departments around the country fostered sharing of best practices and ideas for ensuring departmental relevance. The result is a robust web resource touching on the characteristics that point to a thriving department, including vibrant curricula and programs, strong recruitment of new students, strategic planning for the future.
