Saint John Fisher College

I am an Associate Professor at St. John Fisher University in the Biology department. I have earned advanced degrees in Zoology from University of New Hampshire (MS) and  Oregon State University (PhD) where my research projects focused on population genetics, molecular ecology, evolution, and parasitology. At Fisher, I teach courses in General Biology, Evolution, Parasitology, Genetics, Human Anatomy and Physiology, and Data Analysis (non-majors, general education requirement). My research students have projects that range from ecology, molecular ecology, and pedagogical research on effective teaching in STEM. I am currently the Director of Professional Development with RIOS (riosinstitute.org), for a Racially-just Inclusive Open STEM education, and am an HHMI BioInteractive Ambassador.
