Figure 1: We started our project with change strategies and worked out from those to craft a theory of change specific to our project, which we then compared to what theories of change others had used. Instead, we should have started by working in from formalized change theories and how others had applied them to their projects as we crafted our own project theory of change and identified the change strategies we needed to use.
